General Accidents has announced a recomposed Audit Committee further to the retirement of the chairman of the committee, Geoffrey Messado. Messado retired on February 10, 2022.

The new audit committee comprises Christopher Nakash, who was last month appointed acting chairman, as well as Duncan Stewart, Brian Jardim, Matthew Lyn and executive member, Gregory Foster.

Changes at JMMB Group

Shuchane Johnson

JMMB Group has announced the appointment of Shuchane Johnson as its Jamaica Country Compliance Officer, effective October 3.

She will have responsibilities for the Jamaican subsidiaries – namely Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited, JMMB Bank (Jamaica) Limited, JMMB Fund Managers Limited, JMMB Securities Limited, JMMB Money Transfer Limited and JMMB Insurance Brokers Limited.

JMMB Group has also announced that Damion Brown has tendered his resignation as group chief investment officer, effective November 25, in order to pursue other opportunities.

Guardian chief investment officer retires

Brent Ford

Guardian Holdings Limited has advised that Brent Ford has retired from the position of group chief investment officer with effect from November 30, 2022. Ford has been with the Guardian Group for the past 36 years.

The Guardian Group takes the opportunity to thank Ford for what it said was his invaluable contribution to the Group and wishes him all the best in the future.

New director at JFP Limited

Chantal Bennett

The board of directors at JFP Limited has appointed a new director. She is attorney-at-law, Chantal Bennett.

New Director at MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Limited

Lisl Bettina Lewis has been appointed as a director of MPC Caribbean Clean Energy. Her appointment became effective on October 25.

The company said it was pleased to welcome Lewis to the board of directors.
