Radio Jamaica Limited (RJR) has advised that as part of an overall change to its operating model and an ongoing operations review to improve efficiency in its business, it has made the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) and the Chief People Officer (CPO) positions in its executive structure redundant with effect from Tuesday, October 1, 2024. 

The decision means that DCEO for Broadcast and Content Strategy, Dr Claire Grant and CPO, Tanya Smith-Anderson are out of the company. RJR has further advised that the position of DCEO for Print and Digital Strategy has been vacant since January and will be eliminated going forward.

New Independent Director at ISP Finance

ISP Finance Services Limited has advised that Mary-Angela Robertson has been appointed as an Independent Director effective October 1, 2024. 

New Group Executive VP at Massy

Massy Holdings has advised that Ms Ambikah Mongroo has been appointed to the position of Group Executive Vice-President, Executive Chairperson, Integrated Retail Portfolio, effective October 1, 2024.

Two new non-executive directors at Margaritaville (Turks)

Margaritaville (Turks) Limited welcomes Charmaine Maragh and Professor Andrew Spencer as independent, non-executive directors. 

Having agreed to serve, they were approved at the April 2024 Board of Directors meeting, with their appointments being effective August 1, 2024.

Maragh is a distinguished entrepreneur, astute businesswoman and dedicated philanthropist.  Since January 2021, she has assumed the role of Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at the Lannaman & Morris Shipping Group.  She serves on various boards, including Seafreight Shipping Line, Kingston Wharves Limited and SAGE Logistics & Infrastructure (Shipping Association of Jamaica) among others.

Professor Spencer is the President of the Caribbean Maritime Institute. He brings a wealth of tourism industry knowledge, having served as Executive Director of the Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo.) and having done extensive research and publications on the industry.
