
Online learning company, EduFocal Limited has advised of the resignation of Chelsea Taylor, operations director, and the appointment of Tianka Scott-Morrison as the company’s new education director.
Taylor’s resignation was effective October 5, 2022 while Scott-Morrison’s appointment took effect on October 3, 2022.
Edufocal said Scott-Morrison is a results-driven international educator and instructional leader with progressive experience optimising the quality of learning for children.
She is a trained and experienced Montessorian with a passion for alternative educational methodologies. Over the past nine years, her career has taken her from Jamaica to the United States and Africa.
Scott-Morrison has demonstrated success in collaborating with stakeholders to assess instructional program effectiveness and develop and implement curriculum improvement strategies. She believes affirmatively that every child can learn and will learn with the right methodology.
Transitioning from Carreras

Carreras Limited has advised that Dwaine Williams, marketing deployment manager, will be transitioning to a new role in its parent company, BAT Group, effective October 31, 2022.
Berger resignation

Berger Paints Limited has advised of the resignation of Carlinton Montgomery, chief financial officer and company secretary, effective September 30, 2022. The management of Berger said it wished Montgomery well in his future plans and would advise the Jamaica Stock Exchange in due course of his replacement.
New chairman at Trinidad’s NCG

Dr Joseph Ishmael Khan has been appointed chairman of Trinidad’s National Gas Company (NGC) CNG Board.
Khan is an international project management practitioner with more than 20 years of consulting, facilitating and lecturing experience.
He commenced his career as a mechanical engineering technician and mechanical inspector with several industrial process plants in the Point Lisas Industrial Estate.
Khan currently leads and collaborates on development projects in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Jamaica, Barbados, Belize, Bahamas, Grenada, Suriname and Germany, France and Spain for private and public sector organisations and international agencies such as the Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB), Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and Organization of American States (OAS/CICAD), among others.
