In Corporate Movements this week, TransJamaican Highway Limited is advising of the resignations of Patrick Hylton and Dr Ventley Brown from the board of directors.

Hylton’s exit was effective May 9, while Brown parted ways on May 12.

The board thanked Hylton and Brown for their valuable contributions throughout their tenure and wished them every success in their future endeavours.

Caribbean Cream Limited (KREMI) resignation

Caribbean Cream Limited has announced the resignation of Mark McKenzie as a director and member of the audit and compensation committees.

KREMI says the resignation is in no way associated with any disagreement concerning accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosures, the remuneration arrangements of the directors and senior officers of the company, or any other issue affecting the above-named committees.

In accordance with Appendix One, the company is actively recruiting to find a suitable candidate to fill the vacant position on the Board and its committees. As soon as a director is identified, the market will be notified.

Paramount Training appointment

Paramount Trading (Jamaica) is announcing the appointment of independent director Dwight Balli to the remuneration committee, effective May 22.

Balli has served on the Paramount board as an independent director since November 2023. His appointment to the remuneration committee comes at a time when Paramount is placing more reliance and investments in its human resources in an effort to achieve its growth and development strategies. 

The board of directors wished Balli the very best in his additional role.

Anguilla appoints new tourism director

The Anguilla government has appointed Jameel Rochester as the new Director of Tourism. In making the announcement, Minister of Tourism Cardigan Connor says the leadership change highlights the administration’s strategic focus on leveraging homegrown expertise to navigate an increasingly dynamic global tourism market.

Rochester brings a diverse and comprehensive background, merging private sector acumen with prior public sector tourism leadership. Before his return to Anguilla, he served as assistant rooms division manager at Wymara Resort and Villas in the Turks and Caicos Islands, gaining invaluable experience in luxury hospitality operations and guest service excellence.
