Corporate Movements | Zacca out, Walia in as Sagicor Real Estate X Fund chairman

In ‘Corporate Movements’ this week, Sagicor Real Estate X Fund Limited (XFUND) has advised that consequent of Sagicor Group Jamaica president Christopher Zacca’s resignation as board chairman, Vinay Walia has been appointed as his replacement.

Walia’s appointment is effective from August 1, 2022. Zacca will, however, continue to serve as a member of the board.

The board has also approved the appointment of Carlton Barclay as a director of the company effective August 1, 2022.

ISP Finance Services board resignation

ISP Finance Services Limited (ISP) has advised that Rosemary Thwaites has tendered her resignation effective July 25, 2022.

ISP has further advised that Thwaites, who was a member of respective audit and remuneration committees, resigned due to personal obligations and commitments.

GraceKennedy board appointment

GraceKennedy Limited has advised of the appointment of Vanessa Rizzioli to the board and as a member of the corporate governance & nomination committee effective July 28, 2022.

Trinidad Cement Limited appointment

Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL) has appointed Roberto Adrian Villarreal as general manager of Arawak Cement Company Limited, effective August 1, 2022.

QWI Investments resignation  

QWI Investments Limited (QWI) has advised that Carl Carby has resigned as a director of the company and as chairman of the company’s audit committee effective July 20, 2022.

Carby has advised that his resignation is not a result of any disagreement in respect of accounting principles and practices, financial statement disclosure or any other material issue impacting on the audit committee or his ability to properly carry out the functions delegated by the board.
