The Jamaica Technology & Digital Alliance (JTDA) is gearing up for the return of the BizTech Conference, a collaborative event showcasing new innovations in the local tech industry.

Scheduled to take place on November, 14 – 15, BizTech 2023 promises to deliver an even more transformative experience, all under the overarching theme, ‘TechFusion: Blending Innovation, Strategy & Business’.

Alexia Beckford, programme manager for the JTDA, expressing her enthusiasm for the forthcoming conference, said: “BizTech Conference is not merely an event; it serves as a testament to the collaborative spirit of our tech community. In 2023, we return with greater vigour, armed with a treasure trove of knowledge, expertise, and innovation to share. We extend a warm invitation to both returning attendees and newcomers, ensuring an event that will inspire, educate, and forge connections.”

Adrian Dunkley, president of the JTDA, added: “We have carefully honed our focus areas for this year; this event will venture into transformative realms, exploring AI-powered digital transformation, emerging trends in e-commerce and financial technology, the critical landscape of data protection and cybersecurity, the essence of tech entrepreneurship, and the imperative of diversity and inclusion in the technology sector.”

BizTech casts its net wide to attract a diverse audience, including IT professionals, software developers, marketing experts, and students.

The annual tech conference, now in its 39th year, has benefited new players in the local tech space over the years.

Twitty-Ann Thomas-Farquharson, co founder of local managed IT service company Salus Technology Limited, speaking on her previous experience, said: “The connections we made, the lessons learned, and the support we received from the tech community were invaluable. BizTech is not just a conference; it’s a family that nurtures innovation.”
