After an intense battle of wit, knowledge, and national pride, Creative Kids Learning Academy were crowned champions of the 2025 TPDCo Tourism Quiz, defeating former titleholders Mona Preparatory with a final score of 43 to 33.
The match, which kept the audience on edge throughout, was ultimately decided in the final round, where Creative Kids surged ahead to secure their place in tourism quiz history.
Along with a cash prize of J$200,000 from the Tourism Product Development Company Limited (TPDCo), the winning school also proudly took home the coveted TPDCo championship trophy.
Mona Preparatory, former winners in 2019, gave a commendable performance and walked away with the second-place prize of J$150,000, plus a generous assortment of gifts from the competition sponsors.
The quiz, which saw participation from 32 primary-level schools across the island, was designed to educate and excite young minds about Jamaica’s thriving tourism industry, its impact on the economy, and the value of national heritage.
Notably, the top four schools, which included third-place winner Ardenne Prep and fourth-place winner Whitter’s Institute, were awarded an impressive array of prizes donated by valued partners and sponsors.

Delivering remarks in his official message, Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett, praised the young participants for their excellence and reminded them that they are now part of the movement to make tourism a national opportunity:
“This competition is not just about a trophy or a title – it’s about the power of knowledge to transform lives.
Every time we invest in our young people through platforms like this quiz, we’re not just teaching facts, we’re unlocking futures. Tourism is for all – and these students are now ambassadors for a Jamaica where everyone can earn and thrive.”
TPDCo executive director Wade Mars also celebrated the outcome of the competition and the deeper meaning behind the initiative: “The TPDCo Tourism Quiz is about planting seeds of understanding, excitement, and empowerment. Through this platform, we bring tourism into classrooms in ways that are meaningful and lasting. Congratulations to Creative Kids Learning Academy and to every student who stood up to represent their school, their parish, and their country with pride.”
