Cristiano Ronaldo may have suffered the greatest defeat of his career after Manchester United went down 5-0 to Liverpool earlier this week, but now he can offset that pain with the announcement of another great personal victory!

The Portugal international and living legend of football announced this morning that he and his partner, Spanish model Georgina Rodríguez are expecting twins!

In a post on social media platform Instagram, Ronaldo said: “Delighted to announce we are expecting twins👶🏻👶🏻. Our hearts are full of love – we can’t wait to meet you ❤️🏠 #blessed.”

BUNDLES OF JOY

In the post, Ronaldo shared a photograph of himself and his lady love showing off sonograms of their developing bundles of joy.

Ronaldo, who recently arrived in England after playing for Juventus in Italy, in a celebrated return to Manchester United, is steadily building his own football team with 11-year-old Cristiano Jr, whose mother has never been identified; four-year-old twins Eva, a girl, and Mateo, a boy, who were born to a surrogate; and daughter Alana Martina, who he had with Rodriguez and celebrates her fourth birthday next month.  

Among those who immediately shared congratulations were Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, and more than 7.3 million Instagram followers who ‘liked’ the post within 30 minutes of it appearing on the platform where he has 360 million followers overall.
