Detectives from the St Andrew Central Police Division have charged 39-year-old Yanique Barrett, otherwise called ‘Curvy Diva’, with multiple charges stemming from an incident on Dunrobin Avenue, Kingston 10, in July 2023.

Barrett, a businesswoman of Wellington Drive, Kingston 8, now faces charges of simple larceny, housebreaking, and malicious destruction of Property.

Reports from the Half-Way Tree Police, are that about 7:28 pm, a business owner had securely locked his establishment before leaving the premises.

Shortly after, Barrett, who previously had a business relationship with the owner, was allegedly observed on the property accompanied by a locksmith.

Upon being alerted, the owner returned to find the locks severed, furniture and other items missing, and damage done to the building.

Following an investigation, Barrett was formally charged on Thursday, December 5.

She is scheduled to appear in the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, December 12.
