Cyber Monday sees record online spending

Cyber Monday is projected to experience the most significant growth over the weekend at 6.1 per cent year over year, generating a substantial US$12 billion in revenue ahead of Black Friday sales.

Shoppers have already spent US$10.3 billion in the weekend leading up to Cyber Monday, up 7.7 per cent from last year.

Eighty-nine per cent of survey respondents expressed their intention to shop online during the holiday season, showcasing the enduring popularity of e-commerce. Deals are a driving force for 62 per cent of respondents, highlighting the significance of discounts and promotions in influencing consumer choices.

According to Adobe’s Analytics, despite challenging macroeconomic conditions, consumers are expected to spend a record-breaking US$221.8 billion online during the holiday season (November – December).
