Dancehall artiste Aidonia delivers heartwarming performance at Sandz

Popular dancehall artiste Aidonia delivered a heartwarming performance for his fans on Sunday (January 1) at Sandz Caribbean Music Festival, held at the National Stadium.

The Yeah Yeah artiste, who recently lost his nine-year-old son, Khalif Lawrence, treated his fans to an energetic and emotional performance in the evening.

The entertainer, who was decked out in full red attire, expressed that red was the favourite colour of his deceased son.

The dancehall artiste also praised his wife, Kimberly Megan, as a warrior and expressed that she has been there with their son since 2019, while the youngster was ailing.

“We lose we son and everything but we a go overcome enuh. Jamaica love we, the people love we, God love we, you family love you and you friend them love you,” he said.

Aidonia noted that part of him died when he lost his son, however, the love of his fans and dancehall allowed him to be at this year’s staging of Sandz.

The artiste and his wife have been receiving an outpour of support from the entertainment fraternity following the loss of their son to brain cancer in November 2022.
