Dancehall entertainer, Spice was in high spirits on Wednesday (July 21) as she celebrated the over 20 million YouTube views her music video Go Down Deh had received.

Taking to Instagram to celebrate the song’s success, the So Me Like It singer stated, “Besties thank you for 20 Million real views we stayed on trending for 5 Weeks and created History with this historic track. Dancehall Summer Anthem ‼️‼️‼️ Big up @duttypaul and @direalshaggy.”

Since being released on May 1, Go Down Deh has received wide acclaim both locally and abroad, with professional dancers and wannabes putting the strength of their knees to the test as they “stay down deh”.

It’s no surprise that the song was destined to be a hit, as it features the likes of international dancehall icons Shaggy and Sean Paul whose provocative lyrics on the one-drop beat serve as encouragement to those inspired to “wine and go down deh”.

Go Down Deh is a single from Spice’s upcoming album Ten, set to be released in line with the singjay’s birthday on August 10.

In the wake of its release, pre-orders for the album will be made available on all streaming platforms as of Friday, July 23.
