Popular dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta was today (March 23) released from the Horizon Adult Remand Centre in Kingston.
Tommy Lee, whose given name is Leroy Russell, was arrested for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition along Holborn Road in New Kingston in 2020.
He was later sentenced in March 2021 to a total of five years in prison – three years for the illegal possession of a firearm and two years for the illegal possession of ammunition.
The Spartan Soldier singer pleaded guilty to the charges laid against him.
He was represented by attorney-at-law Donahue Martin.
