International dancehall recording artiste Spragga Benz headlined Tracks Live Session on his birthday, Thursday, May 30 at Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records and it is undeniable that he is a living legend.

Tracks Live Sessions is a platform for live music enthusiasts, from the young to the old, to experience diverse musical offerings from some of the industry’s most renowned artistes.

Spragga’s timeless talent, incredible stage presence and high-energy performance at Tracks Live Sessions doubled as a celebration of his 55th birthday, adding a personal and festive layer to the already electric vibes. And he undoubtedly delivered a performance that resonated with those who were there in the 90s and early 2000s to witness his greatness, and those seeing him for the first time.

The Tracks Live Sessions performance was a showcase of his extensive repertoire. Songs like Machine Gun Kelly and Tings a Gwan brought a wave of nostalgia, reminding dancehall heads of his eclectic body of work.

Spragga’s interactions with the audience were heartfelt and genuine, reflecting his gratitude for the support he has received throughout his career and celebrating his birthday on stage with fans and friends.

Reggae and dancehall artiste Tanya Stephens shared the stage with the legend as they rode the Joy Ride Riddim. Agent Sasco, Laa-Lee, Jashii and others joined the artiste on stage to celebrate his legacy, all while delivering impromptu performances in his honour.

Spragga is not simply a natural talent and enigmatic performer but a living legend, and that was proven at last night’s Tracks Live Sessions. It was more than just an event; it was a celebration of a career spanning over thirty years and an acknowledgement of one of dancehall’s most beloved icons.
