The David ‘Wagga’ Hunt Foundation (DWHF) presented checks totalling US$10,000 to Munro College and Cornwall College.

Both schools suffered major damage during the passage of Hurricane Melissa on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The presentations were made by DWHF committee members Leighton McKnight and Garth Pottinger to Principals Dr Mark Smith and Michael Ellis of Munro College and Cornwall College, respectively.

Both institutions expressed their gratitude for the gesture made by the foundation and promised to plough the funds directly into the renovation of their plants. The presentations were made at Munro College in St Elizabeth.

The David ‘Wagga’ Hunt Foundation is a non-profit organisation that provides scholarships to twenty-four students from both Calabar High School and Kingston College.

The foundation was started in 2009 to honour the legacy of David Hunt, a prominent KC past student who coached rivals Calabar to victory in the Manning Cup and Olivier Shield in 2005.
