Deejay collective Chromatic Live, spearheaded by Warren ‘Creep’ Lee, has welcomed two new recruits – Isaac ‘DJ Kryptic’ Picking (now ‘Kryptic Live’) and Fabian ‘Fyahman’ Morris (now ‘Fyahmatic’).

Established in 2012, Chromatic quickly rose to fame as not only an eclectic collective of Jamaica’s finest deejays but also producers and purveyors of the culture.

They group officially welcome its two new faces who have, in their own right, been making waves in their
fields.

Kryptic (who is being managed by Chromatic Live), is considered a talented deejay with a penchant for
fresh, captivating turntable-styles, while MC Fyahmatic takes on a more hands-on/interactive approach when called on to emcee an event.

It was these qualities that caught Creep’s eye.

“I kept hearing Kryptic’s name buzzing in the streets,” he said.

“Eventually we met through a mutual friend in July. Not long after that, Brush1 told me to check out an MC called Fyahman, only to find out that Kryptic and Fyah were working closely together. After hearing them play a couple times, I ended up booking them for my own event, Pan Di Plaza, where they exceeded expectations. I approached them about signing and the rest is history.”

Fyahmatic, who is currently a third-year law student is in high spirits about the appointment and
stated that it was also a sign to level up.

“It’s a call to continue to raise the bar when it comes to my performances,” he said.

“I’m just in a place of expectation for what the future holds.”

He said it was unexpected but that he was grateful that Creep saw something in him.

“I was focused on learning about the industry as well as how I can become better at my craft, not only in the party scene but also for the corporate scene,” he recalled.

“However, this focus and ambition drew attention to me and I guess that’s what made Chromatic feel that I was ready to be a part of the team.”

Similarly, the now 20-year-old Kryptic is equally ecstatic and is looking forward to what is to come.

“It feels good. I have a good platform and a bigger network at my disposal but the real work starts now,” he said.

He also revealed that it was something that’s been in the pipeline.

“It was really just about the right timing and finding a deal that worked out best for everybody.”

Chromatic Live continues to rake in the accolades as they collectively took on the year 2022; Travis Chromatic sharing the stage with Popcaan for the Wireless Festival, Shantonio and Heavy D, who have been championing the release of exciting mixes via Soundcloud and Creep touring with rapidly rising star Skillibeng – notably Rolling Loud. Also, Creep was most recently at Drake’s birthday party — where he also brought Skillibeng. Brush1 also continues his stride as an artiste with his latest, Katch E Hat track while also being one of the most sought after soca MCs locally.

Up next for the collective is Creep’s appearance on Complexcon (under the Donavan’s Yard Sound Club), scheduled for November 19.
