Detectives seized three firearms and 50 assorted rounds of ammunition on Thursday, October 10, following an operation by detectives assigned to the Hunts Bay Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) on Shannon Drive, Newport West Kingston 13.

Reports from the police are that between the hours of 11:45 am, and 1:59 pm, a search was
conducted on a premises in the area, where one .357 Smith and Wesson pistol, one Springfield
XD9 pistol and one Ruger P95 pistol with two magazines containing fifty 9mm rounds of
ammunition were found hidden in a box.

No arrest was made in connection with the seizure.

Investigation into the matter is ongoing.
