Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs turned 56 this week, but his birthday celebration was a far cry from the lavish parties he once threw.
Now serving a 50-month prison sentence at Fort Dix jail for federal sex crimes, the former music mogul spent his day with a simple prison menu instead of champagne and celebrity guests.
Diddy’s special treat came in the form of a small cake baked by fellow inmates and applesauce.
His day began with a basic breakfast of bran flakes or bread with jelly, followed by a lunch choice of chickpea burger or chicken parmesan with pasta and spinach. Dinner was an early affair, featuring cheese pizza, green beans, and pasta salad.
It’s the second year in a row that Combs has spent his birthday behind bars. Last year, at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn, the menu was just as modest—cereal, fruit, and rice dishes replacing any hint of luxury.
Once known for all-night celebrations and A-list guests, Diddy now celebrates his birthdays quietly, trading velvet ropes for prison walls as he continues to serve out his sentence in New Jersey.
