Digicel has expressed shock at the sudden death of its group administration manager Heather Moyston, who was involved in a murder-suicide yesterday.

Reports are that Heather and her husband Wesley Moyston, an ex-firefighter, were travelling in a white Honda HR-V in the vicinity of Windward Road and Mountain View Avenue. When the vehicle came to a stoplight, gunshots were heard, and the police were called to investigate.

Reports from the Elleston Road police are that both occupants had a gunshot wound to the head. Heather was the driver, while her husband was found in the passenger seat. The two were carried to the hospital and where their deaths were confirmed.

In a statement released yesterday (August 6), Digicel said the company is devasted by Heather’s untimely death.

“Heather had been with Digicel for almost 20 years and, as one of our longest-serving and most-valued team members, was beloved by all. The entire Digicel family is deeply shocked and saddened by this news. We will be doing everything we can to support her family, and our thoughts and prayers are with them during this time,” Digicel said.

Investigations are ongoing.
