Digicel Jamaica has officially signed on as the Official Connectivity Partner for Magnum A Taste of Reggae Sumfest 2026, reaffirming its commitment to Jamaica’s biggest cultural moments and delivering unforgettable experiences for customers across the island.
The partnership was formalised during a signing ceremony between executives from Digicel Jamaica and Downsound Entertainment on Thursday, June 25, setting the stage for an exciting collaboration as the country’s premier music festival sets stage in St. Ann under the highly anticipated theme, Gaza/Gully.
This year’s partnership forms part of Digicel’s 25th anniversary celebrations under the theme Powered By You, recognising the customers who have been at the heart of the company’s journey over the past quarter century.
“For 25 years, Digicel has been connecting Jamaicans to the people, places and moments that matter most. Whether it’s sharing life’s milestones, cheering on our athletes or celebrating the music that defines who we are, connectivity has always been about bringing people together,” said Digicel Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Murad. “Reggae Sumfest is one of Jamaica’s most iconic cultural events, showcasing our music, creativity and influence on the world stage. We’re proud to partner with a festival that not only celebrates the very best of our culture but also creates unforgettable experiences for thousands of fans each year.
As Official Connectivity Partner, Digicel will help enhance the festival experience by keeping thousands of patrons connected throughout the event, while creating memorable customer experiences both on-site and across its digital platforms.
Festival-goers can look forward to exclusive customer engagement opportunities, exciting giveaways, branded activations and shareable experiences that bring the energy of Sumfest to life before, during and after the festival.
The partnership forms part of Digicel’s nationwide Tun Up Fi 25 campaign, which is rewarding customers throughout the summer with major prizes, exclusive experiences and community activations as part of the company’s milestone anniversary celebrations.
Joe Bogdanovich, CEO of Downsound Entertainment, welcomed Digicel, noting that strong partnerships continue to elevate the festival experience for patrons.
“We are excited to welcome Digicel as our Official Connectivity Partner. Reggae Sumfest has always been about bringing people together through music, culture, and shared experiences. Today, the way fans experience festivals has evolved. They want to capture the moments, share them instantly, and feel connected wherever they are. We look forward to partnering with Digicel to create an incredible experience for patrons this year.”
As Jamaica prepares for one of the summer’s biggest entertainment spectacles, Digicel says the partnership reflects its continued investment in the experiences that matter most to customers.
“This partnership is about much more than what happens on stage,” Murad added. “The magic of Reggae Sumfest doesn’t end when the performance does. It lives on through the photos, videos, and posts share and the conversations that continue long after the music stops, reaching family and friends here in Jamaica and across the diaspora. Our role is to power those connections, helping fans stay close to the people, the moments and the culture they came to celebrate. From the stage to the crowd and every shared memory in between, Digicel is proud to help keep Jamaica connected as we’ve been doing over the past 25 years.”
