

Arif Cooper, popular DJ, music producer and radio personality has died. According to reports, Cooper collapsed while playing a set at a party in the corporate area on Sunday (March 5).
He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The late Cooper was the son of Michael ‘Ibo’ Cooper, the founder of the iconic Reggae group, Third World. Growing up, he was exposed to music legends like Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder through his father and eventually joined the music fraternity as a DJ in the early 90s.
Over his more than three-decade-long career, Cooper worked with some of dancehall’s biggest names, including Vybz Kartel, Sean Paul, Tami Chynn, Jah Cure, Elephant Man, Baby Cham, Demarco, Aidonia, Konshens, Wayne Marshall, and Christopher Martin.
The cause of Cooper’s collapse and subsequent death has not been confirmed at this time.
