Take your time, you just might recognise that dance move, guys. Memory a little fuzzy? No worries, I’ll give you a hint…think early 2000s, more specifically 2003. Do you feel it coming?

Jamaica’s ‘Energy God’ Elephant Man had just dropped the latest banger, Signal Di Plane on the Mayday Riddim. Looks familiar, right?

Well, famed American producer DJ Khaled continues to get roasted on Twitter for showcasing what he called the ‘Peaches Challenge’, named after the hit single by Justin Beiber.

Alerting fans to the ‘challenge’ on Monday (March 29), DJ Khaled is casually seen in slides demonstrating the moves, however, Twitter users, especially Jamaicans, wondered what was the point of the dance if all it takes was waving one’s arms in and out.

The Jamaican Twitterati refused to let Khaled off the hook, asking why he seemingly took a dance move already invented and gentrified it.

“Man a signal bout 3 plane and a talk bout Peaches Challenge,” @IAMDJLIVE replied.

Other drew parallels to Jennifer Lopez’s failed #LoveDontCostAThing challenge back in January, which fell flat after Twitter users trashed the blatant attempt of celebrities to stay relevant on social media.

Don’t take my word for it, though, see the Peaches challenge’s ancestor in live and living colour below:
