Prime Minister, Andrew Holness is saluting renowned actress and international filmmaker, Kerry Washington on her documentary project on Jamaica.

The project focuses on Jamaica’s rich and vibrant culture. Prime Minister met with Washington and discussed her documentary project.

According to Holness, “I was deeply moved by her (Washington’s) passion for authenticity and her commitment to portraying the essence of Jamaica with genuine reverence.

He observed that her dedication to capturing the true spirit of the Jamaica people and its heritage in this project is admirable, and “I have no doubt that her work will bring a renewed sense of pride to every Jamaican.”

Prime Minister Holness argued that Washington’s visit reaffirms Jamaica’s position as a global cultural hub, and that the country is thrilled by her interest in telling our Jamaican story.
