Amber Connect has entered into a strategic alliance with Dolla Financial Services Limited to integrate vehicle tracking and telematics technology alongside the microlender’s innovative One N’ Ready auto loan product.

The collaboration, according to the two companies, not only streamlines vehicle financing but significantly enhances safety and security for Jamaican drivers, especially those operating public passenger vehicles (PPVs), who are bearing the biggest risks.

The official signing ceremony took place on May 08 at Amber Group’s headquarters in Kingston. This partnership will enable drivers to access seamless financing while enjoying state-of-the-art security and   fleet management solutions from Amber Connect.

Amber Connect’s GPS tracking solution, renowned for its precision with real-time, 1-second updates and AI-powered intelligent theft prevention, offers unparalleled security. Additionally, Amber’s collaboration with Hawkeye Security ensures immediate and efficient stolen vehicle recovery and rapid armed response panic support, delivering an extra layer of safety and peace of mind to vehicle owners.

The One N’ Ready loan is a purpose-built financing solution for taxi operators, offering up to 95 per cent financing for new vehicle purchases, access to up to 70 per cent of their existing vehicle value, and flexible repayment options of up to 36 months. Now enhanced with Amber Connect’s free GPS tracking system, borrowers will benefit from enhanced vehicle security, comprehensive fleet monitoring, and access to innovative solutions like Amber Ontime — a Jamaican-developed, world-class taxi app that offers PPV drivers direct access to passenger bookings, further streamlining their operations and profitability.

“We are excited to partner with Amber Connect to deliver greater value and safety to our customers,” said Kenroy Kerr, CEO of Dolla Financial. “With the One N’ Ready loan, our clients don’t just get financing, but they also gain a comprehensive solution to grow and protect their business.”
