Former CNN anchor Don Lemon is in trouble again and is making the news rather than reporting it.
He has been arrested and charged for being connected to a Minnesota church protest.
Lemon was live streaming a protest at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota before being arrested by Inmmigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE) officers for what they called a coordinated attach on the church.
A federal prosecutor said the former CNN anchor knowingly joined a mob to storm into the church. He insisted Lemon pay a bond of $100,000.

Don Lemon is charged with two federal crimes: conspiracy to violate a person’s constitutional rights and violating the FACE Act; in other words interfering with a person’s right to worship
The prosecutor claims Lemon intimidated the pastor and was part of a group causing trouble. Lemon in turn said he was there as a journalist and not an activist.
Many media professionals and celebrities have lined up behind Don Lemon and are showing their support.
After his arrest Lemon said: “ Last night the Department of Justice sent a team of federal agents to arrest me in the middle of the night for something I have been doing for the last 30 years and that is covering the news.

“I have spent my entire career covering the news. I will not stop now. In fact, there is no more important time than right now, this very moment, for a free and independent media that shines a light on the truth and holds those in power accountable.
“ The First Amendment of the Constitution protects that work for me and countless other journalists who do what I do. I stand with all of them and will not be silenced. I look forward to my day in court.”
After Don Lemon was arrested, Attorney-General Pam Bondi put out a video in which she declared: “ Make no mistake, Under President Trump’s leadership and this administration, you have the right to worship freely and safely. And if I haven’t been clear already, if you violate that sacred right, we are coming after you.”
