Beaches Negril Resort and Spa recently hosted a health fair in partnership with the Jamaica Blood Bank, aligned with the Cornwall Regional Hospital, which saw over 50 team members registering to donate.

In an effort to continue raising awareness on blood donation, Nicolette Manahan, environmental health and safety manager at Beaches Negril, shared that the health fair also focused on educating team members on the facts around blood donation such as its importance, who can be a blood donor and the prior and aftercare to be considered by potential donors.

Meanwhile, blood donor organiser from the National Blood Transfusion Service, Odean Black, expressed that he appreciated the turnout from the Beaches Negril staff members, as their kind act of service will not only assist in saving lives but will also make way for a smoother operation of local hospitals where there is a need for blood donations.

He added that it is with great hope that the upcoming blood drive with sister resort Sandals Negril will be equally successful.
