The police are reminding event promoters to apply for permits if they intend to legally stage parties during the holiday season.

“We want you to be merry this season, so don’t forget to apply for your party permits,” the Constabulary Force said.

Here’s how to apply:

• Start with an application letter addressed to the superintendent in charge of the division where the party will be hosted
• The letter should state the name and address of the applicant and provide contact information as well
• Also include details of the event, such as the proposed date and time, location, expected number of guests, and so on
