Front line workers, namely nurses , will be receiving  $1 million in support from one of the country’s leading record labels, Downsound Records.

The record label, led by Joe Bogdanovich, announced late Thursday (August 26) that given the current spike in COVID-19 infections the company would be extending their support to the health care sector in the form of cash awards for nurses.

Bogdanovich in a video posted to Instagram said that the good will gesture will see fifty nurses receiving cash awards of $20,000 JMD each.

“This is Joe Bogdanovich representing Downsound Records. Recognizing the plight regarding the current spike in COVID-19 infections the Downsound team is prepared to deliver to fifty nurses, $20,000 in cash as an appreciation to their commitment to service to our health sector, especially in this lengthy no movement lockdown,” Bogdanovich said.

“On behalf of Downsound we appreciate your service and patriotism,” added Bogdanovich.

The record label has also donated $5 million toward the Help Haiti Fund organized by the Food For the Poor.
