Despite the overcast skies, the atmosphere at Twisted Spiritz was nothing short of electric last Friday night (August 2).

Dream Wknd kicked off its 15th anniversary celebrations in grand style with a dazzling ‘Lingerie & Pajamas’ event. The festivities began with a high-energy set from Florida-based DJ Nicco, who set the tone with a dynamic mix of tunes that got everyone in the party spirit. Amid the lingering scent of rain, attendees flocked to the all-inclusive bars, eager to savour the night’s offerings and secure their spots for the evening’s excitement.

Ron Burke, festival director of Dream Wknd, expressed his delight with the event’s success, stating, “The night was absolutely amazing! For our 15th anniversary, we aimed to deliver a spectacular experience for our patrons, and we’ve certainly started off strong. I’m eagerly anticipating the remaining events, come rain or shine.”

The highlight of the evening was a highly anticipated performance by dancehall sensation Jada Kingdom, known as ‘Mumma Heavy.’

Taking the stage around 3:00 am, just after a heavy rain shower, Kingdom electrified the crowd with her latest hits. Tracks like ‘Top Tier‘, ‘What’s Up‘, and ‘GPP’ resonated through the speakers as she delivered a memorable show.

Dominic Bell, communications manager at J. Wray & Nephew Ltd, voiced his satisfaction with the night’s success, noting, “We are thrilled to be part of Dream Wknd’s 15th annual celebration. Our partnership with Dream Entertainment aligns perfectly with both brands’ commitment to the local party scene. Campari is proud to contribute to this milestone and help create unforgettable moments.”

As the night wore on, patrons expressed their enjoyment of the event. Layla Bluefort, a visitor from North Carolina, shared her enthusiasm, stating, “I keep coming back because of the incredible vibes, music, and culture. I love Jamaica and everything Jamaican. Dream Wknd continues to be a fantastic experience, so much so that I had to bring a friend along this year.”
