Educator Rose Davies has died.

Davies passed away early Saturday (September 11) morning.

It is understood that Davies had been ailing for some time.

Davies was a specialist in the field of education, having served as a senior lecturer in the School of Education at the University of the West Indies, later going on to chair a special board dedicated to competence-based education and training systems.

Davies was the wife of former Member of Parliament and Finance Minister Dr Omar Davies.
