
EduCom Co-operative Credit Union Limited closed its doors suddenly today, after the death of its CEO, Elvis King.
In a notice to customers, EduCom said: “Due to the sudden passing of our beloved Chief Executive Officer, Elvis King, kindly be advised that ALL our branches will be closed today, Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 12 noon.
“We will resume regular opening hours on Friday, December 23, 2022.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Our Today understands King died unexpectedly at home.
He had brought a wealth of experience from the credit union industry over to EduCom
He had previously served as general manager for AAMM, having been appointed to that position in 2010. Prior to that, King held the positions of marketing manager and loans manager and had consistently worked his way up in the organisation since joining in 1991 as a loans officer.
King is a graduate of the University of the West Indies with an MBA from the Mona School of Business.
