Since its establishment in October 2021, EduHub Company Limited has been making significant strides in transforming Jamaica’s education landscape through its services geared at equipping schools with the necessary training in technology use.
Spearheaded by Davia Bryan-Campbell, a Clarendon native and seasoned educator, EduHub is a B2B service on a mission to provide ongoing innovative solutions to the country’s education system, with a particular focus on teacher training and bridging the digital divide.
As an educator with 15 years of experience, including six years at St George’s College and nine years at E-learning Jamaica Company Limited, Bryan-Campbell knows the value of integrating technology in the classroom.

“I’ve always loved working with tech in my own spare time but as a young teenager, I was heavily discouraged against pursuing an education in tech. Even though I became a teacher, I still heavily incorporated tech in my lessons,” said Bryan-Campbell
EduHub has already trained over 6,000 teachers across Jamaica through its B2B packages, providing comprehensive guidance on leveraging technology effectively. While educators have been receptive to the training, Bryan-Campbell acknowledged that a growing need to retrain teachers is prevalent.
As education paradigms continue to evolve, EduHub is seeking to ensure teachers and principals are prepared. EduHub also operates a monthly club where educators can visit to learn about all the latest technological developments in edtech.
She revealed that her passion for technology in education prompted her to conceptualise “Teen Tech JA,” a conference that took place in April that aimed to introduce students to the numerous opportunities available in the tech space. The conference saw over 800 students visiting the Wolmer’s Boys School in Kingston to participate.

One of the flagship offerings of EduHub is the upcoming groundbreaking platform called “EduHub Teach,” which recently won the prestigious National Innovator of the Year Award. This AI-powered website is specifically designed to empower teachers to create engaging lesson plans and activities effortlessly. By providing user-friendly lesson templates, worksheets, games, puzzles, and more, EduHub Teach aims to revolutionize classroom experiences and facilitate seamless online and blended teaching.
With the platform projected to launch in March 2024, Bryan-Campbell envisions a drastic reduction in the time spent on crafting lesson plans. Teachers can expect to cut down the process to a mere two to five minutes per plan, a significant improvement from the arduous three to four hours they currently spend, allowing them to focus on enhancing the learning experience for their students.
The foundation for EduHub Teach’s AI capabilities will be derived from the National Standards Curriculum for Jamaica, combined with the expertise of ChatGPT. Bryan-Campbell expressed her commitment to eventually utilise real Jamaican user data to create a tailored and culturally relevant experience for educators and students alike.

Addressing the digital divide prevalent in Jamaica, Bryan-Campbell acknowledged the progress made since 2019. While more students now have access to devices and information, she stressed the need for further improvements.
EduHub’s role in this regard has become even more pronounced as the majority of teachers and students now have devices. To overcome connectivity challenges, Bryan-Campbell implements her concept of “tech without tech,” teaching theoretical basics to implement technology in resource-constrained settings.
