Amber Connect has inked a major strategic partnership with SHIFT Car Rental, a premium mobility brand under AWR Mobility in the United Arab Emirates.
The agreement will see Amber Connect’s advanced artificial intelligence (AI) fleet management and telematics platform deployed across 13,000 vehicles in the first phase of SHIFT’s UAE fleet, marking a significant export of Jamaican-built technology into one of the world’s most competitive mobility markets.
Under the partnership, Amber Connect will power fleet-wide intelligence for SHIFT, enabling predictive maintenance, driver safety analytics, fuel optimisation, and data-driven operational control at scale. The deployment reinforces Amber Connect’s position as a trusted technology partner for large, mission-critical fleets and highlights Jamaica’s growing role as an exporter of advanced AI and mobility solutions.
SHIFT operates under AWR Mobility, which forms part of the AW Rostamani Group, one of the UAE’s largest and most diversified family-owned business groups, with a legacy spanning more than 70 years.
The group, headquartered in Dubai, has operations across automotive distribution, mobility services, logistics, real estate, retail, financial services, and technology, and represents several leading global automotive brands in the UAE.
Through AWR Mobility, the group continues to invest in next-generation transportation and smart mobility platforms that strengthen the UAE’s position as a global innovation hub.
The collaboration directly supports AWR Mobility’s objectives around operational excellence, safety, sustainability, and customer experience. By embedding AI-driven intelligence into every connected vehicle, SHIFT gains deeper visibility into fleet health and performance, reduces downtime, improves driver behaviour, and lowers emissions—aligning with the UAE’s net xero 2050 ambitions.
Sanaa Ouahmane, chief executive officer of AWR Mobility & AWR Trading, said: “Today’s mobility landscape is evolving through data, intelligence, and rising customer expectations, and SHIFT is proud to be leading that transformation. Our partnership with Amber Connect reflects AWR Mobility’s continued investment in technologies that elevate both operational performance and customer experience. By embedding AI-driven telematics across our fleet, we are redefining safety, trust, and convenience while advancing a smarter and more sustainable mobility ecosystem in the UAE.”
Dushyant Savadia, founder and CEO of Amber Connect, said: “We are immensely proud to see Jamaican-built technology selected by one of the UAE’s leading mobility groups. This partnership with SHIFT and AWR Mobility is a strong validation of our AI capabilities and our ability to deliver at scale in global markets. It demonstrates that innovation coming out of Jamaica can compete and win on the world stage.”
