

An employee at Sangster International Airport in St James has been arrested in connection with a drug bust at the airport on Sunday (January 29).
Narcotics police seized 2.5 kilograms (almost six pounds) of cocaine during an operation at the facility on Sunday morning.
According to reports, members of the Narcotics Division and Customs Contraband Enforcement Team (CET) were conducting operations at the airport when an employee was seen acting in a suspicious manner.

The worker was searched and four parcels containing cocaine, with a street value of US$125,000, were found in his possession.
He was subsequently arrested on reasonable suspicion for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
