The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) is advising that police and military electors are assigned to their voting location based on information received from the High Command of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) and the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF).

That information was used to determine where officers are placed to vote on Friday, August 29.

Prior to the announcement of the election, police and military officers were advised through the media and other channels to check the Voters’ List to ensure they are assigned to the correct location.

Members of the military and election day workers are allowed to vote early on Friday so they will be available for uninterrupted service on Wednesday, September 3, when the nation goes to the polls to choose the next government.
