Equityline Mortgage Investment suspension lifted

The Jamaican Stock Exchange (JSE) has lifted its suspended on trading in shares of Canada-based Equityline Mortgage Investment Corporation.

Trading in Equityline Mortgage Investments shares will resume today, Friday, June 21, 2024. after having been suspended on Tuesday June 4 for failing to file its audited financial statements for 2023. The suspension was in keeping with JSE’s Main Market Rule 408 (iii) – audited annual financial statement.

The JSE has advised that Equityline Mortgage Investments, which is based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and offers a full range of mortgage services, submitted its 2023 Audited Financial Statements for the period ended December 31, 2023, yesterday This is more than 90 days overdue.

Due to the filing of the outstanding 2023 audited financial statements, Equityline Mortgage Investments has remedied its breach of JSE Main Market Rule 408 (iii)), which led to the suspension of trading in its shares on the JSE.

JSE Managing Director Marlene Street Forrest said, “Equityline Mortgage Investment Corporation is now in compliance with the JSE’s Market  Rule and there is no reason for the shares to remain suspended. We are happy to have Equityline Mortgage Investment Corporation compliant again.”
