Jamaican-American rapper Safaree Samuels was beyond surprised when his wife, Erica Mena, brought Jamaican dancehall artiste Spice to perform in the backyard of his home in Georgia, United States.

Mena went all out with the decorations and the set-up of the small event dedicated to her husband.

The backyard was branded with Jamaica flags, Jamaican-coloured balloons and tablecloths.

There was also a large photograph of Safaree with the Jamaican flag in the background of the image planted on the stage where the performance was taking place.

It was literally a ‘reggae sumfest’ as Safaree described it.

“It’s official, I’m not leaving my house this summer. My wife just surprised
me and brought Jamaica to my backyard,” Samuels posted on Instagram.

“I cannot believe I just walked in my yard and had @spiceofficial  performing at my crib. Yoooooo this was insaneee omg!!! Yooo thank you
wooo much! WOWW I am speechless!!reggae Sumfest in my yard!!! The best part was the big picture of me in the back,” he added, expressing his excitement in the Instagram post.

Making the event Mena planned for her husband even more meaningful was the inclusion of Jamaican jerked chicken in its very own Jamaica-themed jerk pan.

Now they can feel like they’re eating at home, in Jamaica, every day.

The couple got married in October 2019, later becoming parents to a beautiful baby girl, Safire Majesty.
