NBA Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing is introducing the Ewing Rogue ‘Jamrock’ sneaker as a tribute to his birthplace Jamaica.

The release of the ‘Jamrock’ shoe is a testament to his pride in his Jamaican roots and his ongoing commitment to honouring his heritage. The Ewing Rogue ‘Jamrock’ draws inspiration from the Jamaican flag, featuring a black and green leather upper with yellow leather straps symbolizing the saltire on the flag. 

The design reflects Ewing’s deep connection to his homeland and his desire to celebrate Jamaican culture.

The shoe is being released through Ewing Athletics, founded by Patrick Ewing and his former agent David Falk. The clothing brand has highlighted the significance of the shoe on its website, stating, “Pat has never shied away from representing his homeland.” 

Born in Kingston, Ewing moved to the United States in 1975 as a child.

His illustrious basketball career includes standout performances at Georgetown University and a successful 17-year tenure in the NBA, notably with the New York Knicks. 

Throughout his career, Ewing proudly represented his Jamaican heritage. The iconic basketball player’s achievements extend beyond the court, including being named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History in 1996 and earning induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame twice.
