Murder accused Jolyan Silvera will make his second appearance in court today, where he will answer to charges laid against him for the murder of his wife, Melissa Silvera.
However, It is not yet clear if the media will once again be barred from the hearing.
The former People’s National Party MP had his preliminary court appearance on January 25.
Family members and media personnel were barred from attending the trial following a ruling made by Justice Vinette Graham-Allen to have a closed hearing. This sparked much controversy, with members of the legal profession stating that it was unusual for a judge to deliver such a ruling for a matter that is of high public interest.

It was previously reported that Melissa died in her sleep while at her residence in Stony Hill, St Andrew in November last year. However, a post-mortem later revealed three bullet fragments in her body.
Consequently, a murder investigation was launched.
The former MP was arrested and charged with the murder of his wife just days after he bitterly wept at her funeral.
