Former NFL player Le’Veon Bell has stirred online controversy with a recent post threatening to leave the US if Kamala Harris wins the election.
Since retiring from professional football in 2021, Bell has sought to reinvent himself, exploring various career paths in music, boxing, and even launching an OnlyFans account. He has also carved out a presence as an influencer, amassing 1.7 million followers on Instagram and 1.8 million on X.com
Amid the intense political climate, Bell has been vocal in his support for Republican candidate Donald Trump. In a recent post on X, he said, “I’m leaving the country if Kamala Harris wins,” a statement that has raised eyebrows given the election is expected to be one of the closest in history. This post followed a previous message encouraging followers to vote for Trump.
“One tweet stirred the whole world up,” he said on his Instagram story. “Kamala supporters are haters, y’all crazy, y’all need help.”

While Bell has not elaborated on the reasons for his drastic ultimatum, he has previously noted his discontent with Harris’s economic policies and love for Trump’s charisma. Recently, he was spotted at a rally in Pennsylvania alongside former Steelers teammate Antonio Brown, reinforcing his political stance.
Reactions to Bell’s comments have been swift, with many supporting his views while others have questioned his political judgement. Aggrieved by Bell’s views, two-time Super Bowl champion Asante Samuel challenged Bell, stating, “Do us all a favour and please leave now. And I will ask you every day: did you leave yet?”
Bell posted on Sunday, November 3, “If Trump don’t win, he got cheated.”
Currently, Bell has not reacted to Samuel’s provocation; however, he did respond to rapper Fat Joe, who posted a poignant “bye” in reaction to Bell’s ultimatum. Bell commented, “Your legs are crumbling because you’re so heavy, Joe… please don’t make me start on you, bro.”
