Former Reggae Boyz Jorginho James has apparently lost his coaching job at Pearland Soccer in the United States.

The 30-year-old James is to face the court in October over allegations he again assaulted his wife Crystal James while out on bond.

On Thursday, after a video went viral with what appeared to be James punching his wife repeatedly, Our Today enquired about his status as a youth coach at Pearland Soccer via email.

“He is no longer employed with us,” was the terse response on Friday.

James was a precarious talent out of Kingston College and, at 17, he made his senior team debut for Jamaica in 2012, scoring a spectacular scissors kick against Cuba in the 87^th minute after coming on as an 82^nd-minute substitute.

He was charged in March 2024 for allegedly strangling his wife for which he appeared in the Harris County District Court in Houston, Texas.

Then following the latest incident, on August 31, he was charged with violation of protective order or bond conditions. That condition required that he wear an ankle monitor which he has been doing since March.
