Social media users globally are experiencing challenges in accessing Meta-owned platforms Instagram and Facebook.

Andy Stone, spokesperson for Meta, confirmed the challenges with the social media platforms in a brief statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, this morning, March 5.

“We’re aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now,” Stone said.

Social media users have been forced to resort to X, after experiencing challenges refreshing feeds on Instagram and logging onto Facebook.
