A female passenger died at Sangster International Airport on Sunday, October 20, following a medical emergency shortly after arriving at the airport in Montego Bay, St James.

Reports from the airport indicate that the woman was being conveyed by a wheelchair agent who, upon noticing that she was experiencing an emergency, immediately took her to the nurse’s station.

The on-site emergency medical team administered care; however, despite their efforts, the woman became unresponsive and was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.

The family of the deceased has since been notified.

This death follows an incident on Wednesday, September 4 when a visitor, Leroy Smith, died on the floor of the airport after falling and hitting his head.
