FESCO opens first FYC Supermarket in Bodles, St Catherine

Future Energy Source Company Limited (FESCO) is celebrating the opening of its first FYC Supermarket.

FESCO, which currently operates 14 locations islandwide with FYC Express Convenience Stores located at seven of these locations, held launched its FYC Supermarket at its Bodles, St Catherine location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 26.

With The FYC Supermarket, FESCO says it is enhancing its offerings in the retail space. The full-service FYC Supermarket includes a wide range of food, beverages and household products and is also home to a Scotiabank ATM, a Deli and a Devon House I Scream outlet with opening hours currently 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

“We are pleased to officially open the doors of our first FYC Supermarket. Our new FYC Supermarket gives us an opportunity to provide our customers with a one-stop shopping destination experience. Customers can now fuel their vehicles, do their grocery shopping and even enjoy a scoop or two of Devon House I Scream before they depart,” said Jhanelle Barnes, manager and principal of FESCO Bodles.

Barnes added: “This prime location in Bodles, St. Catherine is located on the Old Harbour main road and is also within close proximity to Old Harbour and May Pen, which serves the many housing complexes within a five to 10 mile radius.”

On location at the ribbon cutting, Jeremy Barnes, CEO of FESCO, said: “The ‘C’ in FYC stands for convenience and that is what we aim to provide at each location.”

He added: “FESCO’s build out plan includes introducing ‘Destination Stations’ that are unique to each community. We want to encourage the development of FESCO service stations that function as a community hub, where people can easily come and get everything they need at one location.

“At each FESCO location we also aim to embody the personality of the community in which we are located to provide a more customised experience for our customers. Our FESCO service station at Bodles and new FYC Supermarket offer a number of conveniences that complement each other in a clean, relaxed, spacious setting offering great prices and discounts and, above all, value to its customers.”

As the FESCO brand continues to expand across the island, it will be including a FYC Mart, which will be a blend of the FYC Supermarket and FYC Express at its soon-to-be-opened FESCO Ferry location on the Mandela Highway.

FESCO also plans to open a service station in Cross Roads that will include another FYC Express Convenience Store in 2021.

“The response from our customers and partners has been excellent since our soft opening two weeks ago. Patrons love the parking, clean and relaxed atmosphere and the prices which also include layered discounts,” said Jhanelle Barnes.

FESCO’s core business is the marketing and distribution of petroleum products such as E10 87 and E10 90 octane gasoline, Automotive diesel oil (ADO) and ultra low sulphur diesel (ULSD) to both retail and commercial customers.

FESCO currently supplies retail customers through a growing network of service stations across the island and provides bulk fuel distribution services to the manufacturing, construction and transportation industries.

FESCO distributes motor oils and lubricants under the FUTROIL and FUTRLUBE brands.
