FID hosts cocktail mixer at Devon House

The Financial Investigations Division (FID) which operates within the Ministry of Finance hosted a Conference Cocktail Mixer last night at the Devon House Mansion on Hope Road, Kingston.

The FID concentrates on deterring the use of Jamaica’s economy for money laundering and other financial crimes.

Last night’s cocktail mixer was a precursor to its biennial conference on February 1 and 2, 2023 under the theme: “ Widening the use of the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) Through Collaboration.”

Among those in attendance last night were: Minister of Finance Dr Nigel Clarke, Minister of National Security Dr Horace Change Head of The Jamaica Constabulary Force Antony Anderson,Dean Professor of Corporate and Financial Law at the University of the West Indies, Mona Professor Shazeeda Ali, The Director of Public Prosecutions Paula Llewelyn and Detective Sergeant Jason Alridge of the Metropolitan Police in London.
