Minister of Finance and the Public Service Fayval Williams will be the keynote speaker at the 15th Annual Middle Managers’ Leadership Conference (MMC).

Her involvement underscores the MMC’s relevance to the current economic discourse in Jamaica, where there is an urgent need for an acceleration of Jamaica’s growth. MMC 2025, hosted by Make Your Mark Group will commence with an Opening Ceremony on April 29, 2025 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

Williams will be featured alongside prominent leaders: Bishop Dwight Fletcher, Founding and Senior Pastor of Transformed Life Church (TLC); Dr Jacqueline Coke-Lloyd, Managing Director of Make Your Mark Group (MYMG); and Donovan Chen See, a Director of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MBCCI). The Middle Managers’ Leadership Conference, themed ‘A Legacy of Change, Transformation and Execution’, will be held April 29-30, 2025, at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston and online, at a pivotal moment for Jamaica’s economic trajectory.

The inclusion of Minister Williams as an opening speaker underscores the conference’s alignment with national economic priorities. Minister Williams had previously stated her readiness to “continue building on the economic gains achieved by the Holness administration”. Middle managers should also gain valuable insights into the government’s strategic direction and how their organisations can contribute to these goals.

Bishop Dwight Fletcher should be able to provide a perspective on ethical leadership and values, crucial elements for sustainable economic development. His work in leadership development through the ‘Accelerate Church Leaders Network’ and as a certified John Maxwell Coach, positions him to address the foundational principles that underpin successful and responsible business practices in Jamaica.

Dr Jacqueline Coke-Lloyd, as head of MYMG and former CEO of the Jamaica Employers’ Federation, brings extensive expertise in organisational, leadership, and people development. As the driving force behind the MMC, her opening remarks will likely connect the conference theme of “A Legacy of Change, Transformation and Execution” to the practical skills and strategies needed by middle managers to navigate the current economic climate and drive growth within their organisations.

Donovan Chen See, a Director of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce & Industry is an experienced business leader anticipated to offer practical, industry-focused insights on navigating the Jamaican business environment and achieving effective execution in a dynamic economy.

Topics covered at the Conference, such as professional development, transformational leadership, and financial management, are directly aligned with the need for a skilled and adaptable workforce capable of driving economic progress. The conference aims to equip middle managers with the leadership skills and strategic understanding necessary to contribute to the acceleration of our economic growth.
