Fire still smouldering at Khemlani Mart on Constant Spring Road

Almost 12 hours later, the fire that took place this morning (September 14) is still smouldering at the Khemlani Mart in Manor Centre on Constant Spring Road.

Employees of various nearby stores shared with Our Today that they were there since in the morning and what they have heard was that a Jamaica Public Service (JPS) pole with a transformer fell on the building which started the fire and it has been going on ever since.

While Our Today was present at the scene, two more firetrucks were seen arriving.

Although there is clear damage to the building, which has likely spread to other stores on the plaza, the extent of the financial losses suffered by Khemlani is currently unconfirmed.
