He is identified as 34-year-old Jason McKenzie, otherwise called ‘Rasta Mouse’, of Baptiste Road.
Reports from the Portmore police are that law enforcers found the illegal items during a search of McKenzie’s home on Thursday. One .38 revolver containing five .38 cartridges was found wrapped in a handkerchief under the accused bed.
He was arrested and charged. His court date is being arranged.
Gregory Park has been experiencing an upsurge in violence recently, with two firebombings that claimed the lives of two citizens and left more than 40 homeless being the latest acts of criminality. According to the St Catherine South police, the incidents are gang-related, and special operations are being conducted in the area to bring the perpetrators to justice.
