Firearm and ammunition seized in St Andrew

Another gun is off the streets after members of the Hunts Bay Special Operations Team on Monday, May 13, seized a Lorcin .380 pistol and two 9mm rounds of ammunition on Harvey Road, Kingston 13.

Reports are that about 1:20 am, a mobile patrol team observed a group of men acting in a manner
that aroused their suspicion.

The men on seeing the police ran onto a premises and escaped. A search of the premises was conducted by the team and the firearm and ammunition were found between zinc fences.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

The police say investigations continue.
