We finally have a date! Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment will release Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle‘, the first of the series-ending trilogy, worldwide in August—but there’s a catch.

The movie will debut globally in August 2025, with screenings in the United States and Canada beginning on September 12, but it will be released in Japan first sometime in July.

That’s at least two months and twelve days before the US and Canada, subjecting the rest of the world to play the ‘avoid spoilers game’ for that time.

But, on the bright side, the first ‘Infinity Castle‘ movie will be available in both Japanese and English subtitles as well as an English dub, with IMAX and other premium formats to enhance the viewing experience.

The final season of the Demon Slayer series was released on May 12, 2024, which is fifteen months after the first movie is slated to come out. Based on this timeline, fans of the anime can expect the full trilogy to be completed by 2028.

Release schedule:

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle‘ will be released in theatres across 80 countries, starting August 14, 2025.

  • August 14-20: Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
  • September 11-12: Latin America, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
  • September 17-25: France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.
